A California woman is being sought out by law enforcement after brutally killing a kitten in South Gate.
The family who owned the cat caught the murder on the security camera, and authorities are asking for help in identifying the suspect.
The perpetrator, who has short orange hair, came up onto the porch of the family’s home after noticing the kitten sleeping on the porch.
The woman grabbed a can of bug spray and doused the poor animal in bug spray before going to another home and asking for pliers.
According to ABC7, the kitten later died and was found with a broken jaw.
“If she could do that to a small kitten, I’m afraid what she would do to someone else,” said Cynthia Esquivel, the owner of the kitten.
Since then, flyers have been posted around the neighborhood to warn others of the woman’s presence.
“It was an innocent little kitten,” Esquivel added. “How could you hurt something so gentle and so beautiful?”
