A woman who lost a case against a California police department has been accused of tampering with a Bakersfield officer’s food while she was working at McDonald’s.

Tatyana Hargrove, a 21-year-old McDonald’s employee, was arrested by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office after her employers showed law enforcement video evidence of her tampering with a Bakersfield Police Officer’s food.

Hargrove’s beef with the BPD dates back to 2017, when she was mistaken for a male and taken down by a police K9. Claiming that the takedown was racially-motivated, the local NAACP and Hargrove attempted to sue the City of Bakersfield in federal court, though an October 2019 ruling went in favor of the BPD.

According to Bakersfield.com, the department involved in the suit promised to do better, despite not being at fault.
