A Utah man was run over several times while riding his bicycle, according to authorities.
The elderly Roy resident -identified as 62-year-old Warren Yoshio Watanabe- was going for a ride on September 20 when he was hit by a vehicle.
After hitting Watanabe, the female driver then repeatedly drove over him, changing gears and crushing the man beneath her vehicle.
According to KSL, the 77-year-old woman then exited her vehicle, only to realize the object she was driving over was a human being.
Watanabe eventually succumbed to his serious wounds, which included damage to his ribs and liver.
“He was an avid fisherman and he loved to watch his war and Western movies. He also loved spending time with his family,” his obituary read.
Local police do not believe the incident was intentional, and say they will meet with the Weber County Attorney’s Office to determine if any criminal charges should be filed.
