What started as a simple dinner out may turn into a final meal in the United States for one woman.
Rosiane Santos was charged with disorderly conduct and assault and battery after she confronted a man wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat inside a Mexican restaurant.
According to Boston 25 News, Bryton Turner said he was minding his own business and didn’t start filming Santos until she began confronting him about his hat.
A bartender corroborated Turner’s story saying he did not provoke Santos.
Santos apparently told police that Turner should not be allowed to eat in a Mexican restaurant while wearing the hat.
She took one more swipe at him as she was being escorted out.
ICE officials say they discovered that Santos is a Brazilian immigrant and may be here illegally.
She is now in ICE custody.
