A Louisiana woman stopped a knife-wielding rapist by biting his genitals.
The victim met John Patton, 54, after luring him to her home after a date set up through the “Plenty of Fish” website.
Going into Patton’s apartment, she soon found herself in an uncomfortable situation where she claimed she agreed to having sex out of fear of her life.
According to Fox News, when the man demanded oral sex, she bit his genitals in an effort to escape, running into another room that she barricaded off.
“She was just cowering in the corner with the table. He approached several times (with a knife), and she fought him off with it,” Westwego police spokesman Lt. Eric Orlando said.
Eventually, the two engaged in a standoff for hours until the man handed her her clothes and told her to leave. Not needing to be told twice, the woman then ran to a nearby store and called police.
Following a seven-hour police standoff that ended with tear gas, Patton surrendered and was booked on second-degree rape, aggravated sexual battery and false imprisonment while armed with a dangerous weapon.
