A Florida woman was arrested after refusing to stop twerking on her car while she was being approached by an officer.
The incident took place at 3:15 on Saturday morning when Gainesville Police officers were called to investigate a noise complaint, finding 35-year-old Danielle Lanae Jefferson dancing to loud rap music.
According to neighbors, Jefferson had been playing the music for more than 20 minutes.
When officers asked her to turn the music down, she began twerking on her car as she carried on a conversation with the police. After issuing her a noise-warning notice and giving her 15 minutes to turn the music down, she began twerking again and told the police they could arrest her if they wanted.
Issuing her a citation, the officers handed the document over for Jefferson to sign.
According to News6, Jefferson crumpled the citation up and threw it at an officer, leading to an arrest on the charge of resisting an officer without violence.
Jefferson would later tell an officer she thought he was “cute” and wanted to keep him around to “argue.” She was released from the Alachua County Jail on Saturday.
