Syracuse, N.Y. — Juli Boeheim was robbed of her purse at gunpoint in the Destiny USA parking lot this afternoon, according to two law enforcement sources.

Juli Boeheim is the co-founder of the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation and is married to Jim Boeheim, the coach of the Syracuse University men’s basketball team.

The robbery was reported at 2:08 p.m., police said in a news release that did not identify Boeheim. She was not injured, according to law enforcement sources and a news release.

The victim of the robbery was sitting in her car near the Cheesecake Factory entrance when she was approached by a youth, police said. He talked with her before pointing a gun at her, reaching into her car and grabbing her purse, according to police.

The youth and two others drove away in a nearby car, police said. The car they drove away in had been reported stolen, according to Onondaga County 911 dispatch reports.

Police ask that anyone with information about the robbery call Syracuse police at 315-442-5222.
