A traffic stop not far from the Mexican border in Texas turned into a pursuit and a viral moment for a Brooks County Sheriff’s deputy.
Deputies had pulled the truck over because the plates had come back as stolen.
After you see one man peer back at the deputy, the truck takes off.
In about 30 seconds the truck pulls into the grass on the side of the road and you can see at least a dozen people in the truck bed throw a plywood board they were hiding under off.
Roughly two dozen people then ditch the truck and run off into a nearby field.
This all happened within about 100 miles of the U.S. – Mexico border.
The Sheriff’s Office did not say whether they were able to arrest any of the men, or if they were illegal immigrants.
