A Chicago community’s Chamber of Commerce is dealing with a spat of controversy after videos of kids whacking at an ICE agent pinata went viral.
According to CBS Chicago, a member of the business group came up with the idea of the pinata and knew it would send a statement.
People on social media split into two groups over the incident. One camp praised the kids taking a swing at an ICE agent, the rest called it disrespectful and furthers the call for violence against law enforcement.
There was also a game at the event that let children throw balls at a painted image of President Trump.
The group says despite the controversy the event was a success, and do intend to hold it again next year, though there may be some added stipulations.
