Looters are brazenly continuing their crime spree in search of material consumer goods, this time robbing a moving freight train for flat screen TVs.
Seemingly abandoning any semblance of reverence for the initial cause of the protests, looters and criminals have begun to separate themselves from legitimate protesters, and have caused an ever-climbing amount of damage as they obtain high-dollar items.
In Chicago, a group of looters were filmed robbing a slow-moving freight train, pulling TVs from a car full of shipping containers.
“I gotta go,” the cameraman said. “The train is moving.”
According to the New York Post, Union Pacific is aware of the incident, and while the Chicago Police were notified, nothing substantial was done about it.
“We believe the burglary was instigated by people familiar with the area and the movement of our trains; however, once it was discovered TVs were inside the containers others joined in,” a Union Pacific spokesperson said.
“Due to Cook County’s orders related to the COVID-19 pandemic, no arrests were made.”
