A man armed with a golf club and holding a meth pipe in his hand demanded that a convenience store clerk give him a pack of cigarettes.
This all happened around 1 a.m. at an Oceanside, California 7-Eleven on Monday morning, according to 10News.
The clerk reportedly ran out of the store and called police, but the suspect refused to come outside once authorities arrived.
A two-hour standoff followed. As the ordeal was unfolding, the man was allegedly yelling out obscenities, while clutching on to the golf club.
He was eventually shot by police. A K-9 was also sent into the store and the man is seen screaming on video as the police dog is tugging at his pants.
The suspect was taken to the hospital to be treated for the gunshot wound, the local ABC station reported.
