Officer Darrell Smith was looking at .380 caliber handguns when he visited the Barren Outdoors in March, according to a lawsuit filed Friday. The clerk handed him one to look at, only the weapon was loaded, and when Smith went to “dry fire” the weapon, it shot off one of his fingers.
