It started with a homeless man exposing and touching himself in public and ended with group of Good Samaritans pulling him off of a police officer in San Francisco.
The entire February 19 incident was captured on cell phone camera by nearby man who witnessed the altercation.
According to witnesses, the homeless man was conducting his lewd behavior when the officer calmly approached. Authorities later said he was high on drugs, according to KTVU reporting.
“The next thing you know the homeless man jumps on him,” said the man who recorded incident.
When the homeless man attacked the officer, knocking him to the ground, several civilians rushed over and helped pull him off of the officer, who continues to struggle with the suspect, as seen in the camera footage.
“The fact that we had citizens who came to the assistance of the officer was really helpful and a great feeling that people are out there (who will) help and support,” Officer Giselle Talkoff told KTVU. “It became a very dangerous situation for the officer. And even for the public to view something like that it’s pretty scary.”

And the nearby man had nothing better to do at that moment than run his camera. Did he ever consider helping? Evidently not.
