New York State Police have released bodycam video of an arrest of a pregnant woman that contradicts a woman’s claim that how the officers handled her caused her to lose her child.

According to the NY Post, Quashaia Oranchak was arrested in March for attempting to flee officers. Originally, they were trying to stop her for a speeding violation but she sped up and led police on a brief chase.

The bodycam shows officers pull the six-months-pregnant Oranchak out of the car, but quickly realize she is pregnant and begin to handle her carefully. At one point the officer says, “You good? You sure?”

Oranchak is currently suing the State Police and her attorney has requested an independent investigation in hopes of charging the officers with murder.

The officers handle Oranchak gently and consistently check in with her.

Oranchak was found unresponsive while being held in jail. She was rushed to the hospital where an emergency C-section was performed. The doctors determined the child died due to trauma.

Officers found drugs in Oranchak’s vehicle and “in her person.”
