The Utah Department of Public Safety just released the dash cam video of former Mantua City Police Chief Shane Zilles’ arrest.
In the video, a Highway trooper watches as a patrol car, driven by Zilles, speeds through traffic and into the medium without his lights or siren on.
According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Zilles was going more than 80 miles per hour.
The trooper immediately recognizes the police chief and even tells him, “If you’re headed to the office you’re going the wrong way.”
The trooper even asks Zilles if he’s on any medication after his breathalyzer test comes back clean.
Eventually, Zilles is given a sobriety test, which he fails, and is then placed under arrest.
Zilles was later fired by the Mantua Mayor.
