UPDATE: 4:15 PM (EST) – The suspect in this morning’s attack on OSU campus has been identified as 18-year-old Somalian refugee Abdul Razak Ali Artan.
Motives are still being investigated but early indications are that this is another Islamic Terror attack on US soil.

The officer who encountered the suspect and immediately ended the threat is 28-year-old Alan Horujko.

UPDATE: 1:35 PM (EST) – The suspect in this morning’s attack that wounded 10 people, one critically is being investigated for links to Islamic terrorism, according to multiple news reports.
UPDATE: 1:00 PM (EST) – During the first press conference following the attack, the Director of Public Safety at Ohio State University has confirmed that the suspect drove into a crowd of people who were gathered outside an on-campus building.
The suspect then exited his vehicle with a ‘butcher knife’ and began attacking individuals.
There are 10 individuals injured, who were either struck by the vehicle or stabbed by the suspect.
The incident was initially reported at 9:52 AM (local) and the responding officer called in shots fired at 9:53 AM, after fatally shooting the suspect.
UPDATE: 12:13 PM (EST) – The suspected shooter injured most of the victims by first driving his car into a crowd of people, then getting out and stabbing several individuals with a knife before being shot by police.
The deceased suspect is described as a black male in dark clothing, according to CNN.
There is a conflicting report by the Columbus Dispatch indicating there were two attackers that hopped out of the vehicle, one with a large kitchen knife, and the other with a gun.
PDATE: 11:37 AM (EST) – The shelter in place order has been lifted. It is now believed that the deceased shooting suspect was the only attacker.
UPDATE: 11:20 AM (EST) – Nine people have been wounded, and the suspected shooter has been killed following following today’s shooting at Ohio State University.

Other reports indicate that police are still searching for possible second suspect and there is a heavy police presence surrounding a parking garage.
EARLIER: COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State University is telling students that there’s an active shooter on campus and they should “Run Hide Fight.”
Ohio State’s official Twitter page retweeted a post from OSU Emergency Management saying there is an active shooter on campus in Columbus on Monday morning.
The tweet says: “Buckeye Alert: Active Shooter on campus. Run Hide Fight. Watts Hall. 19th and College.” Watts Hall is a materials science and engineering building.
No more information was immediately available. A Columbus police dispatcher declined to comment on the reports, but police vehicles were seen at the scene.
