Comedian George Lopez has been charged with misdemeanor battery after putting hands on a fan who trolled him with a joke about President Donald J. Trump.
Footage from the victim’s phone revealed that Lopez -who is famously anti-Trump- attacked the young man as the comedian left a Hooters last month, grabbing the victim by the back of the neck.
According to TMZ, Lopez believes he was baited into attacking the man, and didn’t want to be filmed, thus attempting to justify the grabbing of the victim’s camera.
Lopez was charged with misdemeanor battery and received a court summons.
