As I watch this video, I am appalled at the leadership in the State of Kentucky and the city of Louisville. They should have had thousands of national guard on hand standing by to respond. Their officers are like sitting ducks. pic.twitter.com/zeL75J5FA2

There is a heavy police presence outside of the University of Louisville Hospital where an officer has reportedly been transported after being shot during what are now being declared as unlawful assemblies – otherwise known as riots.
The officer was shot in the downtown area of Brook and Broadway just before 8:30 p.m. local time, according to WDRB.
