Two masked teens entered an elementary school in the South American country and opened fire killing 5 students and an adult.
According to Reuters, five school children and adult worker were killed. The two adolescent shooters are also dead according to police.
Multiple other children were also shot and were being rushed to the hospital, so the death toll may rise.
The last major school shooting in Brazil was in 2011. 12 children were shot dead at a Rio de Janeiro school.
