Update (4:48 p.m.): The acting Anne Arundel County Police Chief has just confirmed there are 5 fatalities and several others wounded in today’s shooting at the Capital Gazette newspaper in Annapolis.
The gunman opened fire into the newsroom through glass windows according to reports.
During the press conference, it was also revealed that the police response time was approximately 60 seconds, and that the shooting was stopped by officers.
The suspect is in custody but not cooperating with authorities.
Update (3:59 p.m.): Multiple fatalities and injuries have been confirmed by law enforcement on scene.
Gunman shot through the glass door to the office and opened fire on multiple employees. Can't say much more and don't want to declare anyone dead, but it's bad.

Multiple people have been shot at the Capital Gazette newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland according to Phil Davis, a reporter at the newspaper.
Davis reported the information to the Baltimore Sun, which owns the Capital Gazette.
Live footage shows the building where the newspaper is located being evacuated and several law enforcement agencies are responding to the active shooting scene.
An intern with the newspaper tweeted a out a plea for help:

It’s not known if the threat has been contained. Multiple reports indicate the FBI and ATF are responding to the scene as well as multiple local agencies.
