Three people are dead after a shooting in a Walmart in Oklahoma, including the gunman.
KSWO reports three people were killed outside the store in Duncan, Oklahoma, on Monday morning. The suspect is confirmed to be one of three dead, according to The Duncan Banner.
None of their identities have been released, but the Duncan police chief told KOCO that the victims include two men and one woman.
It’s unclear how many others may have been injured.
KFOR reports nearby Red River Tech and Duncan Public Schools were put on lockdown due to the incident. A lockdown has since been lifted at Duncan Public Schools.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says police received a call for shots fired just before 10 a.m. at the Walmart located near Highway 81 and West Plato Road in Duncan, Okla. A dispatcher told The Associated Press that “everyone is at the scene.”
The Duncan Police Department will provide more details at a press conference later Monday.
The incident comes three months after a gunman killed 22 people inside a Walmart in El Paso, Texas. Police said Patrick Crusius drove more than 10 hours from his grandparents’ house where he lived in a Dallas suburb to carry out the attack. More than 3,000 people, largely from Latino El Paso and neighboring Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, were in the store when the attack happened.
Crusius, 21, has pleaded not guilty in the El Paso shooting.
