A union vice president and 33-year law enforcement veteran has been suspended for sending a controversial email to other union members.

“Expect more bad behavior from the thugs of Baltimore,” the union VP wrote, referring to Black Lives Matter protesters.

The email was written around the time of the state FOP convention on Sunday, where a dozen protesters were arrested.

Baltimore Police Lt. Victor Gearhart was reportedly suspended from the force after his emails were discovered Monday morning.

Gearhart also commented: “On the bright side maybe they’ll stop killing each other while they’re protesting us.”

Police spokesman T.J. Smith told WJZ, “This is not representative of the dept., and the police commissioner was absolutely outraged.”

Earlier this year, Gearhart filed a lawsuit against the city after a series of controversial tweets got him reassigned to overnight security duty, the local CBS station reported.

An internal investigation is now underway.
