The former president of a police union representing African-American cops admits to stealing union money for private purposes.
According to CBSLocal, 42-year-old Darren Randal Wilson (who is of no relation to former Ferguson Officer Darren Wilson) has plead guilty to nine counts of wire fraud in a St.Louis federal court.
Wilson, who has been accused of the crime for some time, admitted to stealing over $80k in funds from the Ethical Society of Police, using part of the money to fund his comedy club promoting business.
Wilson will be facing up to twenty years in prison and fines up to $250,000 when he is sentenced in December. He has since agreed to a judgement of $80,000 and agreed to surrender his law enforcement credentials.
