Two undercover officers of New York’s Finest were issued a ticket while they were sitting in their unmarked car, much to their amusement.
The two plainclothes officers were approached by a traffic agent while sitting in their vehicle, and were ticketed despite having their badges visible.
While the exact date of the incident is unknown, the 23-second clip was posted on Breaking 911’s Twitter page on October 25, where it has already accrued nearly 50,000 views.
The video was posted by an officer identified as 46th Precinct Officer Justin Ortiz, who barely held back his laughter while the ticketing took place. His partner, on the other hand, seemed less amused.

The New York Post reported that the NYPD is currently investigating the matter after having been made aware of the video.
An amateur boxer, Ortiz has quite a name for himself in the precinct, and has been featured in several videos where he was forced to engage in hand-to-hand combat in order to subdue suspects. He is the son of NYPD Midtown South Officer Alberto Ortiz, a 22+ year veteran of the force who was nominated for Officer of The Year in 2016.
