Law enforcement in Oklahoma are on the lookout for a man who shot two Tulsa Police officers during a traffic stop Monday morning.
The incident, which took place mere hours after midnight, involved two TPD officers and suspect David Anthony Ware.
Ware reportedly got into a scuffle with the officers before drawing a handgun and shooting both of the lawmen, allowing him a window of opportunity to escape.
According to Tulsa World, both officers are in critical condition after they were taken to a local trauma center.
TPD are currently scouring a nearby area for Ware, who fled on foot.
“If you live in this area, be very aware of your surroundings,” police said in a social media post with Ware’s photo. “If your dogs are barking, call us and we’ll come check it out. If he is willing to shoot at us, he is likely willing to shoot at anyone.”
The search is ongoing.
