Two officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department were shot today in Ferguson.
Police Chief John Hayden said the one of the officers was struck in the leg and the other in the abdomen and is in critical condition.
The officers were attempting to arrest a suspect in another fatal shooting that took place overnight outside a club in North St. Louis when they were shot, according to Fox 2.

Ferguson, gained national attention in 2014 when a police officer fatally shot 18-year-old Michael Brown. The officer involved was cleared in the shooting as it was ruled self defense. Despite the evidence, residents protested and rioted for weeks, destroying parts of the city.
