Two Ohio police officers have been charged with manslaughter in the death of an African American man who begged them to let him go, saying repeatedly “I can’t breathe.” Stark County Prosecutor Kyle L. Stone announced this at a press conference, explaining that Canton officers Camden Burch and Beau Schoenegge have been charged with manslaughter in the death of Frank E. Tyson, which occurred April 18 during a confrontation with police.

Burch and Schoenegge, both 24, were arrested Friday and are in custody, NBC News reported. The manslaughter charge could carry a sentence of 3 years in prison and a $10,000 fine for each defendant, if convicted, Stone said.
