Body camera footage has been released of police in Tulsa, Oklahoma responding to calls of a man yelling at passing cars in the middle of a busy street and taking his clothes off.
Upon arrival, officers unsuccessfully attempted to detain 26-year-old Joshua Harvey, who by then had stripped to his shorts and was clearly under the influence of drugs or having a serious mental episode. Harvey took off running when officers attempted to detain him.
Tulsa officers caught up with him in front of a bank, where he pulled on a locked glass door so hard that it shattered on him, instantly drawing blood from several cuts.
It was then that officers tased him multiple times as he continued to resist arrest. Harvey was eventually cuffed and emergency medical services arrived and transported him to the hospital.
However 3-days later, Harvey was pronounced dead at the hospital. Tulsa PD is waiting on the Medical Examiner’s report and will release that information when they have it.
