Officer Randy Wheeler made a difficult traffic stop, August 29th, necessitating a split-second life or death decision reports The Blaze.
“Based on the dash cam video, you might assume that Officer Wheeler is being overly aggressive towards the driver for no reason,” According to Trinity Police Department Facebook Page. “If Officer Wheeler would have shot the driver, it could have sparked an outrage based on that limited view.”
However, what the dashcam doesn’t show and Officer Wheeler’s bodycam does, is that the driver reached for a gun in the front seat of his car which escalated the traffic stop to an arrest. He had a split second to decide whether or not to shoot the driver.
