A car thief is recovering from his injuries in an Oklahoma City jail after he led police on a dangerous vehicle pursuit through the woods.
According to Fox News, Hunter Berry stole an SUV and attempted to drive away from police before they could arrest him.
He led them on a chase to another property where he attempted to steal another vehicle in an attempt to switch one past the officers. Unable to start the car, Berry stole the handgun inside it, got into the original stolen SUV, drove off, and fired multiple rounds at a patrol vehicle.
The police pursuit ended when Berry drove the SUV into a tree.
Berry surrendered to the police, but not before refusing to listen to orders. This caused the officers to fire rubber bullets and a gas pellet at him before placing him in handcuffs.
He faces multiple charges.
