After a Tik Tok video was posted that shows three people using a submerged Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office car as a video prop, sheriff’s office spokesman Sgt. Jon Seeber confirmed the department is investigating the video.
The short video, posted by the account @ice_ice_garbageman, shows one person dancing across the ice with the song “Put Your Records On” by Corinne Bailey Rae playing. About halfway through the video, a person crawls out of the car onto the ice and a clip of Danny DeVito talking is dubbed over the video. The clip is from DeVito’s role as Frank Reynolds in the TV show “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”
Seeber confirmed to Syracuse.com | The Post-Standard the video was taken at a training location used by the deputies. He declined to provide information about those who filmed the video and what charges they may face.
The video was shared widely on Tik Tok, Reddit and Facebook.
