Three New Jersey policemen were hospitalized after being hit by motorcyclists during an investigation of a crash on Wednesday night.
Union City officers were investigating the scene where a minor was killed by a garbage truck when they themselves were struck by two motorcycles at around 7:30 PM.
One officer was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The other two officers and a motorcyclist were transported to another hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
“Please pray for all the officers injured in Union City incident tonight. Officers have been taken to area hospitals,” the New Jersey State Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association tweeted.
According to the New York Daily News, the second motorcyclist sped off and remains at large.
