Two Lufkin, Texas police officers are being highlighted for their bravery after they pulled a tractor-trailer driver to safety.

Lufkin Police just released body cam from the rescue and according to the department, the tanker truck drove off a 40+ foot flyover and smashed into two pieces. The cab was in the southbound lanes of the highway as the tanker was burned in the northbound.

Officers Carter Willmon and Roger Ordaz were the first responders to the scene.

After a few seconds of assessing the crash, Officer Ordaz noticed a faint yell. After hearing the noise a few times, both officers ran to the cab where they found the driver, Leslie Rodriguez, trapped and injured.

The officers pulled him out of the cab and to safety.

Rodriguez is expected to be ok and police are uncertain what caused the crash.
