A Texas man’s 200-pound drug shipment was intercepted by a savvy K-9 from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.
K-9 Rik picked up on a peculiar smell during a traffic stop in Rosenberg on September 19, alerting his human partner to what would amount to an impressive drug bust.
According to the FBCSO, Gerson Salguero was busted after Rik’s nose discovered approximately 202.5 pounds of marijuana in the suspect’s truck, hidden in an altered fuel tank. The pot stash is worth about $100,000.00.
“Job well done by our Narcotics Task Force,” said Sheriff Troy Nehls.
K-9 Rik was no doubt showered with praise, toys and treats.
