A Harris County constable is out of a job and in jail as she faces accusations that she used a taser on her three children.
According to KTKR, Xochitl Ortiz was fired from her position earlier this week when she was arrested. All three of her children are now staying with their father.
Records indicate that the stun gun belonged to another deputy constable at the precinct Ortiz worked at. It’s believed the two had a romantic relationship. That deputy has been fired but is not facing any criminal charges.
It’s believed Ortiz stunned her children, ages 8, 11, and 12, on the shoulder, hand, and butt.
The complaint came from the children’s father after the kids told their father of what happened.
She says she is innocent and is attempting to make the $450,000 bond.
