Teen admits punching an unsuspecting man in the head for social media fame, may avoid charges

YouTube video

A Texas teen is in trouble after he walked up to a man from behind and punched him in the head. The teen admitted it was a social media stunt.

According to KHOU, Alford Lewis says he did punch the man and tried to tackle another in an effort to spark social media controversy. He says he now regrets his actions, but that didn’t stop people from fearing to use the trail in the first place.

Lewis says people didn’t see the part of the video where he hugged and shook the two men’s hands. KHOU says it could not verify that statement.

The Houston-area teen says his parents scolded him and didn’t expect things to go so awry.

Houston Police say they are investigating the video, but the victims of the random attacks may need to pursue charges to make Lewis feel the legal repercussions of his actions.
