A female educator has been arrested and charged with raping a young boy in Oklahoma.
The 22-year-old teacher’s aide, identified as Ashley Waffle of the Granite Public School system, began a Snapchat-based relationship with a 16-year-old no less than fifteen days after starting her tenure at the school.
Authorities were alerted to the relationship after rumors began circulating the campus and administrators began looking into the matter.
Waffle had at least two sexual encounters with the lad at her apartment, and after rumors spread through the sub 2,000-person town, she was fired on November 9.
According to the New York Post, Waffle was charged with two counts of second-degree rape and booked in the Greer County Jail.
If convicted, she faces up two fifteen years in prison.
