A former Holly Hill Academy teacher is facing felony criminal charges over accusations of an illicit sexual relationship with a student, according to a letter from Holly Hill Academy.

Reagan Mobley Anderson, 27, of Holly Hill, is charged with two counts of sexual battery of a student age 16/17 without coercion, according to Orangeburg County court records.

An Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office incident report notes Anderson denied the allegations.

A letter sent to parents by head of school Brandy Mullennax said Anderson is no longer employed at the school.

Mullennax said the school was made aware of the allegations and contacted law enforcement. The school has cooperated with law enforcement as they continue the investigation, according to the letter.

“As a school community, we strive to always provide a safe and secure learning environment for all our students,” the letter said. “We cannot comment on this matter further at this time, other than to assure you that we will continue to work with law enforcement and provide the needed supports for our students and staff as we deal with this situation.”

“As we navigate this difficult time, please keep our Raider family in your prayers,” the letter concludes.
