A man wanted on heroin and fentanyl trafficking charges led Daytona Beach police on a multi-mile and dangerous chase that included officers deploying stop sticks and weaving through traffic.

According to the Daytona News-Journal, Bijan Johnson tried to use the traffic to block officers from getting close to him and even drove the wrong way down highways and roads multiple times in a desperate attempt to escape.

Police recently released the video of the incident, which included body cam of when an officer attempted to use a spike strip to pop the suspect’s tires.

Johnson eventually made his way to Ormond Beach, a town over, where he ditched his car and tried to hide in a bushy area.

Officers had a K9 who tracked and then held Johnson down until officers arrived to pull the dog off him and arrest him.
