A suspect was shot in a Las Vegas airport early this morning, after the individual in question attacked two police officers and even knocked one unconscious.
Captain Nicole Splinter said officers near Terminal 3 at McCarran International were dispatched to a potential door breach around 3:30 in the morning, eventually finding an intruder in the baggage area of terminal 1.
According to News 3, the trespasser became angry and violent when police attempted to guide him back to the public area, knocking one officer out with a shove to the ground.
The second officer attempted to use non-lethal means to subdue the suspect, but ultimately ended up going on the defensive.
Finally, a third officer arrived, and shot the suspect twice after being attacked.
The suspect and injured officer are currently undergoing care at a local hospital.
Airport operations have not been interrupted.
