The Miami-Dade Police Chief is condemning the violence his officers experiencing against them after one of his jailers was punched and knocked unconscious by a suspect during a booking.
According to Fox News, the suspect had completed the fingerprinting when he began ignoring the officer’s command. The officer backed the man into a corner and attempted to subdue him, that’s when the suspect, identified as Nestor Rodriguez, broke free and launched several punches at the officer.
The officer falls to the floor while Rodriguez continues throwing haymakers at the officer.
Several officers hear the commotion and come to the aid of the jailer and begin to take down the suspect. Eventually, he is zip-tied and neutralized.
This comes just 24 hours after a wild melee inside the Miami Airport.
