When it comes to wild stories Florida might be king, but Texas can certainly produce some real head scratchers, too.

And the Lone Star State has delivered.

The Port Arthur Police Department say that it is looking for a man who went to a stranger’s home back on April 1, took their lawn mower, gassed it up and began mowing the lawn. The whole scene was reportedly caught on a home surveillance camera.

You can see the Port Arthur Police Department’s Facebook post with the video of the man taking the lawn mower and mowing the lawn, here.

And, as puzzling as trespassing onto someone else’s property to take their lawn mower and cut the grass for them might be, so is this — the homeowner was apparently watching it all unfold and called the cops to put a stop to it all before the guy finished. And the suspect was, reportedly, meticulous in taking care of the lawn, even moving a broken post out of the way to get to some hard-to-get spots.

Then the police showed up, and he made a break for it, allegedly dragging the mower behind him before ditching it in an alley.

Port Arthur Police say they are looking for Hubbard Marcus Rennard.

There are probably some folks who need their lawns mowed who wouldn’t mind finding him, too.
