Chicago’s Independent Police Review Authority (IPRA) has released surveillance video of a fatal police shooting that took place in the city’s Englewood area in November.

The shooting and what led to it are still under investigation, but what is clear from the video is that officers approaching in an SUV from a nearby intersection observed observed a man open fire on two other individuals he appeared to be fighting with.

Officers are then seen opening fire on the gunman, who later died.

NOTE: In the video below, the incident begins at the 8:00 mark.

  1. With what appeared to be about 40 cops on the scene, did it seriously take almost 10 minutes to put up some crime scene tape??? Everyone and his mother was walking through the crime scene! C’mon Chicago PD, you’re better than that.
