Surveillance video has captured the moment a Deputy with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office was shot by a handcuffed man Wednesday night.
Deputies were on scene to make an arrest related to an earlier deadly conduct incident. The video shows deputies surrounding the home before entering.
After the suspect was in handcuffs inside the home, he reportedly pulled a gun from his waistband and fired multiple shots at deputies, striking one in the arm and one in the pant leg. A bystander was also shot multiple times.
The deputy shot in the arm is expected to be ok however the bystander was flown to a hospital and their condition is unknown at this time.
Deputies returned fire on the man who was later found dead, although it wasn’t released whether or not he died from self-inflicted wounds.
