Three New Orleans Police officers were caught off-guard when a suspect they were looking to apprehend began opening fire at them through a closed bathroom door, and then tried to make an escape.
According to WVUE, three police officers were searching the property in April for Horrace Toppins, who had an active warrant out for his arrest.
The officers had received a tip and were investigating during the shooting.
One officer and the suspect were both injured during the shooting.
In the video, you can watch the officers move room to room to make sure each was clear. The lead officer approached the closed bathroom door and identified himself as an officer. Then the bullets began to fly.
The one officer severely injured his arm, and Toppins was shot in the arm. Toppins then attempted to escape through an adjoining bedroom window, but was unable to make it due to his injury. He was subsquently arrested and brought into custody.
No word on what charges Toppins will face.
