On Saturday, May 9, 2015, a Kentucky State Trooper stopped to get gas at a gas station across from the Kentucky Speedway. It was there when a woman approached him and began telling the trooper how she was stranded with an empty tank and couldn’t get home. The woman was accompanied by a small child and a younger passenger.
After listening to the woman the trooper not only paid for her gas, but he pumped it too. These are the heartwarming stories that usually do not get the type of attention they need, the ones who show law enforcement officers in the positive light they deserve.
This story was witnessed by Katlyn Starks and her husband and later posted to her Facebook page. On the post Starks says, “I dont know who this Trooper is but if this ever gets around to him I want to say thank you for your kindness and God bless. People like you give hope to this world.”
