A high school substitute teacher in Maryland has been accused of having sexual relations with one of her students.
Alexis Mercedes Boberg turned herself into authorities on Monday morning after an investigation revealed she had sexual contact with her teenage male student and bought him alcohol.
According to the Capital Gazette, Boberg worked as a substitute teacher and was reported by the student.
Boberg has since been charged with two counts of fourth-degree sex offense for having sexual contact with a person while in a position of authority, as well as consuming alcohol on public property.
Each of the alleged sexual encounters did happen off campus.
The school district has also terminated Boberg’s employment.
