We’re all guilty of it- snapping selfies and bragging about our adventures on Facebook– but one bank robbing couple got caught because of their greed, stupidity and vanity.
Bragging about all the money they somehow recently “acquired” — John Mogan and Ashley Duboe took to Facebook to pose with their “stacks of cash.”

A “selfie” posted August 31, shows Mogan with a wad of bills in his mouth. After seeing the image, a relative complained that Mogan “didn’t hook a brother up.” Referring to the loot, Mogan replied, “That’s called a McStack.”

Police say days earlier, the couple robbed a bank in Asheville – about 20 miles south of Columbus. Investigators say Mogan walked into the bank and gave a note to a teller, demanding money.

A surveillance photo from the scene shows a “hoodie-wearing robber” leaving the bank with a stack of money in his hands, according to thesmokingun.com.
Before driving him to the bank, Duboe reportedly applied makeup to Mogan’s face and neck to cover up his numerous tattoos.

Police say Mogan is a convicted felon who recently completed a five-year prison sentence for robbing a different Ohio bank, back in 2010. He was serving a three-year parole term, when this most recent arrest happened.
Four days after the robbery, Mogan and Duboe embraced and posed for a picture, while holding “fans of cash” in each hand. Duboe later posted the picture on a Facebook page the couple shared, police say.

Mogan and Duboe — both in their twenties– have each been charged with felony robbery and theft. They are now behind bars at the Pickaway County Jail.
