An illegally-armed Texas teen suspected of a violent crime engaged in a deadly hand-to-hand struggle with a Houston Police Officer- and a nearby security guard simply stood by, filming the entire incident on her phone.

When 17-year-old Davon Shavelle Miller was pulled over by HPD in connection to an aggravated robbery and shooting that took place in Harris County, he had a firearm in the front seat of his vehicle.

Exiting the car, Miller took off on foot, prompting the officer to intercept and tackle him. For some time, the officer struggles with Miller, who kept trying to grab the officer’s handcuffs and sidearm.

“He’s trying to kill me!” Miller kept screaming.

“Stop resisting, it’s not worth your life,” a woman in scrubs repeated, trying to get Miller to calm down.

“He’s not going to kill you, we’ve got it all on camera,” another woman, possibly the security guard, said.

Meanwhile, the entire incident was being filmed by the female security guard, who made no effort to help the officer. Content to simply document the incident, she walked around the melee to get a better look.

“Help me!” the officer yelled after Miller began to fight back. “Stop f***ing filming and help me!”

According to Click2Houston, the cowardly security guard’s inaction did not go unnoticed.

“This guy is absolutely a threat. He had a pistol in his car that his girlfriend actually wrapped in a towel and threw it in the bushes while our officer (was) fighting with him,” said Houston Police Officers’ Union President Joe Gamaldi in response to the tape. “Not only that, you watch the video. He’s grabbing our officer’s gun.”

Gimaldi is unsure where the security guard is employed (the gas station that served as the backdrop for the incident denied having any security on payroll), but is still unimpressed with her.

“You know, a so-called security guard, a complete joke. She should be ashamed of herself,”

Miller has been charged with felony disarming a police officer for attempting to take the officer’s gun.

  1. Hopefully when someone is beating this security guard people just take out their cell phone and start filming and don’t help her.
