A Mexican television news host was found murdered in the capital city, making her the sixth of her profession to be killed in-country since the year began.
Michelle Perez Tadeo, AKA Michell Simon, was found wrapped in sheets near the Picacho-Ajusco highway.
The reporter’s body was discovered by firefighters who had responded to a nearby call.
According to the Daily Mail, the 29-year-old’s cause of death is currently unknown.
Tadeo had been missing for several days prior to the discovery of her body.
The murder of the journo is the sixth of such killings to take place in 2022, though many of the other journalists appeared to be related to their reporting of local crime and cartel activity.
It is unknown why Tadeo went missing or why she was murdered.
